Nail update

So I have been lagging on the nails but I actually took a break because I couldn't find time to go and get them done nor the funds. Therefore, if you look at my before and after's you can tell how the acrylic left my nails. I was embarrassed to show my hands, but I was still broke and couldn't afford to waste $35 on my nails.

 I remembered a post on pinterest about drugstore press on nails. So for the sake of an experiment and for others like me. I decided to check out the local Walgreen's and see my options. I had read the Broadway for real nail set was the best and lasted the longest. I found the Broadway brand and bought them.

My first negative was the length, I wish they had a shape or were a little longer, but for $6.99 and the potential of 2 sets of nails in one box, I was willing to sacrifice the length and shape. So I bought them and I chose the ones in "peach". I put them on at work in the morning in less than 5 minutes.

::RESULTS::

These nails lasted 3 weeks and could have gone longer but I wanted fresh nails already. The glue works wonders. I am very impressed with the length of time these lasted. I had to seriously take a razor under the nail to pop these babies off. The glue did not want to give.

The process is easy. Fill nail bed and push cuticle back then apply glue to nail bed and nail. Press on, hold a second and voila!!

I have washed dishes daily, showered, applied pressured and not one fell off. And for the first few days I was sure that was going to happen, since prior elementary & middle school memories remind me that it was possible..

The paint of the French nail did begin to fade or wear off starting the second week. I painted them and that took care of that problem.

I highly recommend these for the moms out there who just want pretty hands or the person who has no time to go to the salon. Even the person on a budget. Lets do the math. $6.99 I got a full set and I have a whole set left for when ever I want to do them. So two full sets for $6.99 in less than 5 minutes. I saved literally $70 and like 3 hours of my time.

Now don't get me wrong I still love acrylic and when I get some extra time and money Ill probably go get my khloe kardashian on. But in the mean time this worked for me.
